Meal Planning Monday……

Cornish Pasties, Fish, Goat’s Cheese and Salads!

It’s Monday again, how did that happen? I mean where did the week go? One minute it was Monday and I was hosting a Jubilee BBQ and now it’s a week later! So, here I am again with my meal plan on Monday, and with thanks as always to Mrs M who hosts this weekly event over at her blog, which is called At Home with Mrs MThis week is a little flexible, as I am travelling to see my sister on Tuesday for the week, but I WILL be cooking there too, so I have a few ideas in mind for the week’s menu! This week is all about Cornish Pasties, Fish, Goat’s Cheese and Salads……and there will be a few meals out, BBQ’s and picnics planned no doubt too. Some of the recipes are dependent on the weather, such as the picnic and BBQ ideas…..but, if necessary, we can always have a picnic at the kitchen table, as  I used to do when my daughter was little…..and the BBQ can be dragged into the garage too……I won’t let the weather beat me!  So here we go, with a cheery wave of my wet umbrella, here’s the Lavender and Lovage Meal Plan on Monday……see you later, Karen.

  1. Julie :

I really want your Cornish pasties recipe. Those look so yummy. Tonight we will have salmon burgers on the grill; tomorrow it’s gnocchi with tomato sauce. Then we go on a short vacation to San Antonio.

    • Karen :

Thanks Julie, I am posting the recipe tomorrow! I LOVE the idea of salmon burgers, must try them. Have a GREAT holiday in San Antonio!

  2. Janice :

I’m intrigued by your meal planning. Did you already make those dishes and are now now re-making them or did you eat them last week and are blogging them this week? Or maybe you have those photos from a previous make. All look delicious anyway.

    • Karen :

Some are recipes that I have made already and are regulars at our dinner table, our favourites! Some are BEING made and will be blogged this week, some have been made ages ago, and photographed, and are in the plan for the week as I have the ingredients available, and some I don’t know yet! SO, yes, a bit of both, made and are being remade, are on the blog this week and WILL be made and others are not recipes as such, but we have them often and I have photos! My Cornish Pasties are made, and will be eaten and on the blog tomorrow! Karen

  3. My favourite post of the week, so much inspiration. We are having a big Father’s Day and family birthday BBQ on Sunday and your salmon and prawn parcels are definitely on the menu. We are BBQ in the garage rather than wait for the sun to arrive! x

  4. Looking forward to seeing your Cornish Pastie recipe very much. I could eat your weeks menu very happily indeed especially if you could cook it too!!

  5. OMG, such wonderful food, as always Karen. Those crumpets look amazing, I am a crumpet lover! Sorry, but is that a picture of your kitchen, I know this is about food, but With my house on the market, I’ve told Grim I need the perfect kitchen and that pic will be saved for reference. It’s gorgeous xxx

  6. Maya Russell :

Cheese crumpets – mmmmm! Nice meal plan.
