I am such a seafood novice that I am not sure what my favourite is, I love shellfish at restaurants; calamari is a favourite.
I NEVER cook with fish at home, but really want to change this.
I am happy to help any time you need inspiration or guidance Nelly! :-)I ADORE calamri too…..Good Luck!
Hi Karen
I would like to say a big congratulations to Hazel R and good luck to everyone who enters this week. Fish Delish offers an excellent service and I’m very happy to be spreading the word with you Karen. May the second week Free Fish To Your Door Draw begin!
YAY! The draw is open and rolling…..Congrats again to Hazel and thanks for hosting a FAB week one Dan!
My favourite is barbecued garlic, chili and lemon king prawns.
OH yes Michelle! I would join you for that! Thanks for the email, cannot answer now as my a/c has broke for outgoing mail! Good Luck too!
Crab and lime linguine. IS the simplest thing to make ever, it virtually is crab meat lime and linguine. Tastes so fresh and the recipe is so easy to follow, my husband who is a kitchen manager at a care home actually pinched it off me!
Crab and linguine sounds a winner Rachel! Good Luck too!
I am from Galicia, I love all seafood, the simpler it is cooked the better. However over here in the UK, for me to cook at home I love prawn tagliatelle, with some chilli, tomato paste, lemon or lime and coriander, quick and delicious.
LOVE the sound of your tagliatelle! Good Luck too…..thanks for entering!
There’s a link to the recipe in this post if you fancy trying it some time 🙂 http://www.feistytapas.com/2011/09/menu-challenge.html
BRILLIANT! Thanks! 🙂
Love paella but don’t get to have it often as no one else in my family likes it *sob* 🙂 @pipersky1
HELLO! Glad you added your twitter name as I know who you are now! LOL! I also LOVE Paella, but like you, don’t get to eat it much 🙁 GOOD LUCK!
My favorite fish dish is my curry spiced salmon with Singapore noodles! So so delish!!
Katie xoxo
I am a HUGE lover of Singapore Noodles, my mum makes the most amazing recipe with prawns! Good Luck!
think I’d make a smoked haddock risotto – delicious! (and would get me brownie points at home!)
Oh yes, what a great dish to make if you won!
Paella is my favourite, absolutely love it 🙂
You and me BOTH! I love Paella…..GOOD LUCK!
Hi!
I love a simple grilled trout stuffed with parsley and lemon … you can really taste the great flavour of the fish!
Grilled trout sounds like a DREAM recipe! Good Luck!
I love all fish and seafood, at the moment my favourite recipe is a quick haddock and spinach gratin, loved by toddlers and so quick to make.
That haddock and spinach gratin sounds amazing! Good Luck too…..
I normally like to play it safe when cooking with fish so not yet ventured into anything too exciting, i save that for the chefs when dining out! But i love making salmon, pea and mint riosotto! Always a winner when i cook it for friends 🙂
Your risotto sounds like a great recipe…..good luck!
My favourite seafood dish is Lobster linguine. If it’s fish then a classic fish pie. I love eating simple grilled fish with a slice of lemon too… oooh I would be so spoilt for choice! Fingers crossed x
I am also a lover of lobster, and you cannot beat a fish pie too! Good Luck!
wonderful give away… need more fish in my life!
And I hope you’ll get it! GOOD LUCK Dom! 🙂
I love trying different fish, and am taking inspiration from the lavendarandlovage recipes. My current favourite recipe though is fish pie, with white wine and creme frachie sauce, topped with mashed celeriac.
That sounds wonderful Becky! Thanks so much and GOOD LUCK!
I love salmon and my favourite way to serve salmon fillets is to smear it with red pesto and bake or grill it, it is absolutely delicious and so quick and easy.
GOOD LUCK Janice! And I LOVE your salmon fillets recipe idea too….sounds divine!
I love salmon en croute. Delicious.
I love anything in pastry and salmon works so well that way! GOOD LUCK!
I love fish pie so like most fish salmons a favourite.
I also LOVE fish pie too! Good Luck!
I’m partial to a nice piece of Lemon Sole though I have this rarely. Regularly enjoy a nice fish pie.
I LOVE lemon sole Angela, it is one of my favourites, simply pan fried and served with steamed potatoes and lemon! GOOD LUCK! 🙂
Thai Curry of some sort!
Yes, that sounds GREAT! Good Luck!
If I’m making it myself, I like to keep things fairly simple, so pan fried bream is a fave. One of my favourite dishes to eat out though is fish karahi at our local Kashmiri restaurant. I’ve not attempted it myself yet as I;m sure it wouldn’t match up!
I LOVE the sound of that, I am a big fan of curried fish and sea bream is also a favourite. Good Luck!
after introducing salmon fishcakes to my 4 year old, hes addicted! think we have had them 3 times this week hehe
I love fish cakes and salmon ones are always special! Good Luck!
I love Asian stle fish steamed with ginger, chillies andgarlic.
That sounds wonderful! A GREAT recipe idea. Good Luck!
My favourite family fish recipe is Fish Pie – I make it with Coley, Undyed Smoked Haddock, and some Smoked Salmon trimmings, with a creamy white sauce (made with the poaching milk) with Dill and a touch of cream for some added luxury, even though the recipe as a whole works out quite economical. Topped with buttery mash, it is my son’s favourite dish! I have also introduced him recently to the delight that is a simple fillet of baked salmon – tonight we had it baked with a knob of butter and some dill on top, some sauted jersey royal potatoes, and peas and sweetcorn. We are also both partial to a nice lobster – my just turned 4yo has expensive tastes!
That recipe sounds amazing! I LOVE fish and especially fish pies – I have several recipes on this blog, but LOVE the sound of yours, call me a fish pie collector! My favourite fish of the moment, is Hake, such a lovely and underused fish. Good Luck!
Fish pie is on the menu this week! I bake a huge one, and then portion it up and freeze it so that I can get my son’s favourite dinner on the table within 15 minutes if I need to. I’m going to try and take some photos while making it this week, so I can blog it!
PLEASE let me know when you blog it, would love to see it…..and great idea about freezing too. 🙂
Will do, and will tweet about it of course!
I love seafood linguine …yum yum
Seafood pasta is always a great choice!
I love Malaysian style chilli prawns, or my favourite home cooked fish dish is fish pie. Real comfort food!
Fish Pie seems to be the most popular dish! Good Luck!
