I would take picnic-pies. They’re a great recipe from Good Food where you make bread rolls and then flatten them, shove into muffin tins press in a filling of choice, close up and bake. So basically your bread roll and filling is all baked up together. They are delicious and really easy and good for minimal mess!
I have seen that recipe, it is saved in my bookmarked recipes! GOOD choice! Good Luck too…..:-)
I have had my eye on this recipe…I think if I won tickets to the concert, I would have to bake some of these. http://www.bbc.co.uk/food/recipes/union_jack_fondant_70560
OH yes, I LOVE that recipe….perfect for the event too! Good Luck!
I would take a “British picnic” with sandwiches, pork pies, sausage rolls and not forgetting since it will be June strawberries….. along with an umbrella just in case!
Can I join you PLEASE??? Sounds wonderful! Good Luck!
Thank you! You’d be very welcome – I’ll bring wine!
GOOD LUCK! 🙂
Strawberrys and cream….maybe even some meringue for an eton mess x
You cannot beat a classic like strawberries and cream and I also LOVE Eton Mess! Good Luck!
what a fabulous prize 🙂 Fab blog too xxx
Thanks VERY much Lucy! And GOOD LUCK too! Karen
I’d have to take cucumber sandwiches followed by strawberries and cream as it’s such a very British affair. And perhaps also some slices of my leeks and greens pie: http://bangermashchat.wordpress.com/2012/04/11/leeks-and-greens-pie/
PERFECT picnic choices Vanesther! Good Luck!

I would tak bread pudding a large 1 homemade of course! 🙂

I think I would take some red, white and blue cupcakes!
