GREAT choice and one my favourites too!
Hi, I have liked your site on Facebook and love your recipes. Good luck and keep up those delicious Fish recipes.
Thanks very much Marguerite and Good Luck!
Simple Thai sweet kingprawns and pineapple kebabs 😀 YUM
That sounds fabulous!
Trying to think of an answer but to be honest this would probably make more more fish friendly, beyond tuna pasta I don’t really engage with fish. 🙂
How about barbecued salmon maybe? Good Luck anyway…..:-)
I’m really not much of a BBQ girl, I would rather cook inside and then take it outside to eat it. However, I do love sardines on the BBQ as they stink up the house if you grill them inside!!!
Grilled sardines on the BBQ is a GREAT choice Janice!
I subscribe to your blog as gholmes724 [at] gmail [dot] com
Thanks Gillian!
Salmon with Thai chili sauce – fab on the BBQ¬
I LOVE salmon on the BBQ!
Haven’t tried it yet but we’re planning to do some bbq hake with a chilli, ginger, lemon and coriander coating (just in tinfoil with some butter).
That would be JUST fabulous and hake would stand up to barbecuing very well too.
It would have to be Hake or King Prawns
BOTH lovely choices!
Good luck with the giveaway. You always have such great ones… I’ll treat the delivery person to a Kansas City BBQ when i win 😉
THANKS Dave! If only I could send the fish to you in Kansas……maybe one day I will have an International fish giveaway!
Steamed cod with egg is a fab dish, goes down a treat 🙂

Salmon with Thai chili sauce
LOVELY!
A simple dish is salmon marinated in olive oil, garlic, fresh lemon juice and rosemary (minimum 3 hours) then put on the BBQ in foil parcels. Simple but delicious! xoxo
I LOVE salmon in tinfoil on the BBQ! I am posting a recipe later today for one…….yours sounds lush!
simple smoked mackerel with rosemary 🙂
That sounds LOVELY!
following on google reader 🙂
To be honest, I haven’t BBQ’ed a lot of fish but I’d love to change that. I’ve had sardines once and it was amazing! I’d love to try a tin-foil salmon recipe 🙂
I am posting my salmon in tinfoil recipe later today!
I’m already subscribed via email 🙂
Thanks!
The favourite in our house has to be sardines or mackerel with honey, chilli & lemon started off in a foil packet and then finished on the bbq so they go crispy and sticky!
ALL great fish ideas for the BBQ…..
I absolutely LOVE massive tiger prawns barbecued to perfection! Ooh they’re so luxiourious and tasty tasty tasty – especially when they go ‘POP’ in your mouth 🙂
@hannahmdy
I also LOVE HUGE prawns on the barbecue too….love them!
Tandoori Salmon – I think it’s a Jamie Oliver one, but we have it every single time we have a BBQ now since it’s uber delicious!
I adore curried fish and salmon always takes the spices so well too…..
What a fantastic giveaway, Karen. I’m looking forward to your salmon and prawn recipe. Our salmon season is at its peak right now and I’m always searching for new recipes. Wrapping it in foil is a sure way to keep it moist and tender.
Thanks Cathy! I have just posted the salmon and prawn recipe and I hope you like it! Karen
Just a simple Mackerel (we live by the sea and it is so cheap here). Simply done. Garlic chopped, salt, pepper, finely chopped bay leaves and olive oil. All mixed together then ‘marinade’ inside and out of fish. I.e. cover all over and inside the gutted fish. Then just put on BBQ for 5 minutes or so each side. Then with a bit of salad on a plate and a crispy roll. Sit down and enjoy the sun and lovely healthy fresh food.
FABULOUS recipe and thanks SO much for sharing it too….I have saved this idea as I LOVE mackerel!
Following via email :). Hope I have liked the correct Delish Fish on FB as Rafflecopter had an error. There are 24 likes when I liked, if I got wrong one, please give me a link to correct one. Thanks xx
I will check that and THANKS for letting me know, and GOOD LUCK!
I love salmon simply cooked on the barbecue with just salt and pepper added 🙂
Snap, me too!
I like blackened cajun fish – Cajun spice mix: 1tbsp salt, 2 tsp garlic powder, 2 tsp ground black pepper, 1 1.2 tsp ground cumin, 1tsp cayenne pepper, 1 1/2 tsp paprika
Dip your fish fillets (e.g. sea bass, salmon) in melted butter and sprinkle each side with the seasoning mixture. Cook on the BBQ.
THANKS so much for the recipe….I am going to try that, as I love Cajun spices…..Brilliant, thanks! Karen
I like prawns with a sweet chilli marinade
One of my favourites too!
Don’t have any recipes :'( My fave fish on the BBQ is salmon 🙂 @pipersky1
LOVE BBQ salmon too….
Sardines on corn bread, the juices transfer to the bread. They must be had the night of the 23rd to the 24th of June by a bonfire, to celebrate St John’s if possible on a beach in Galicia 😉 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_John%27s_Eve
We celebrate St Jean’s Bonfire here in France too…..and what a GREAT recipe Maria!
I’ve never tried fish on the bbq, but would love to now.Thankyou for the giveaway.
Keep checking back to see new BBQ fish recipes!
Prawns on the BBQ yum
I love prawns on the BBQ
I don’t eat fish myself, but my hubby would love this – he likes kingprawns or salmon on the BBQ.
I love salmon on the BBQ.
It might not be the cheapest option, but I love halibut. The texture of this fish is ideal for the BBQ because unlike many others, its very ‘stable’ and doesnt so easily fall apart. My dad went to Canada for fishing a few times already, thats how he got the whole family hooked on this fish 🙂
I also LOVE halibut and agree that is is FAB on the BBQ too….stays together and has a lovely meaty texture.
Salmon sizzling on the BBQ ….. heaven!!
I LOVE salmon on the BBQ – it’s one of my favourites!
it has to be cajun spiced tiger prawns
That sounds amazing!
Salmon marinated in sweet chilli yummy
That sounds wonderful!
I love salmon and prawns on the bbq smells and tastes so much better:)
FABULOUS choice!
I love shell fish so probably prawns and scallops brushed with a bit of garlic butter.
DIVINE! Simple and delectable!
Vodka marinated monkfish
Prawn skewers (so many options)
Foil baked fish
Tuna of course
Tend to make it up as we go along
THANKS so much for those BRILLIANT ideas! LOVE them all…like you, I tend to make them up as I go along too…
I love BBQd Mackerel, I live on the coast and when I was younger I’d go fishing with my dad, his partner and my brother – he’d catch Mackerel and his wife would gut them and clean them and stick them straight on our little disposable BBQs, can’t get fresher than that! We’d always have it just with a squeeze of lemon. I love Mackerel but they can be a bit bony 🙂
Wonderful memories and a wonderful idea for simple mackerel on the BBQ too….GOOD LUCK!
king prawns marinated in a thai sauce
DELICIOUS!
Seabass with a sprinkling of fresh lime
One of my favourite fishes!
Mackerel with citrus juice squeezed onto it – keep it simple!
Absolutely, I agree!
I love Salmon burgers on a barbecue, really easy to make and delicious!
They sound wonderful!
Swordfish is wonderful – another one who has happy memories of Portuguese barbecues. Doesn’t need anything more than seasalt a touch of pepper
I agree, and I LOVE swordfish too Diana!
In Malaysia we like to BBQ prawns with the shells on, after a spicy marinade. Gives it a lot more flavour.
I LOVE prawns with their shells on on the BBQ! GREAT choice!
