– Lavender and Lovage Sunday Patchwork Quilt –
Photos and Recipes
+ 5:2 Diet Recipes
IT’s a hot Sunday and I am back with my weekly round-up of photos and recipes, by way of the Lavender and Lovage Sunday Patchwork Quilt of Photos and Recipes, and amongst my usual healthy eating and tea time treats recipes, I am also including some 5:2 Diet recipes too, although I have many more to share over the next week, you will find four recipes for soup, salad, dessert and breakfast featured here in my patchwork quilt. I MISSED last Sunday’s Lavender and Lovage Sunday Patchwork Quilt of Photos and Recipes, as my sister was staying with us and we were out and about and having WAY too much fun, so I have also added the previous week’s collection of recipes and photos too. It’s been two weeks of lovely summer fruit and vegetables, as well as the odd sweet treat and savoury picnic pie…..we have also enjoyed some lovely fish as well as some amazing Scottish prawns, and a lovely chilled soup also made it to my weekly menu plan, as a standby 5:2 diet soup for intermittent fast days.
There have been MANY more recipes made, other that what I have posted on my blog, and, preserving has started in earnest and lots of veggies have been blanched and popped into the freezer for the winter months. Tomatoes and peppers have been stuffed, and peaches and nectarines have been cooked on the barbecue as well as being made into refreshing and low calorie fruit salads. Old-fashioned and nostalgic bakes have been made for my ~ Sepia Saturday ~ Eighty Years of Baking with Be-Ro event, which is a weekly bake-along, where I bake my way through all my Be-Ro cookbooks, with the opportunity for others to join in with me. My Mirabelles have been picked, more about them over the next few weeks, and my figs are JUST about to come onto season, whilst my raspberries continue to flourish. It’s been a busy two weeks and I have also got THREE wonderful and VERY unique Giveaways running at present; Win one of THREE Delicious Personalised “Letterbox” Cakes from Baker Days, Win ONE of THREE Boxes of Handmade French Chocolates from Club Chocolat Française and Fabulous Sarah Raven Herbs and Edible Flowers Giveaway Worth £35!
So, before I go, I will leave you with a list of the recipes that I have made into my Sunday Patchwork Quilt, and I will be back tomorrow with more recipes, both for normal family meals and for the 5:2 diet, as well as some great product reviews and a new giveaway! Have a GREAT Sunday and DON’T forget there are THREE blogging events that I am currently hosting, that I will list below too! See you later, Karen
