Lavender and Lovage Sunday Patchwork Quilt of Recipes and Photos
with 5:2 Fast Day Recipes
It’s been a crazy week, I have been so busy with a house full of guests, as well as trying to catch up with lots of back posts, reviews whilst cooking for eight people, developing new recipes and cleaning! But, I am NEARLY back on track, I just have three reviews to do, my Herbs on Saturday round-up (tomorrow I promise!!), my Forever Nigella round-up and then I am back to normal speed…….I think! With a BIG BIG thanks to ALL of your who entered into Herbs on Saturday – we had an amazing THIRTY THREE delectable entries and the “Mystery Judge” has chosen the winning recipe yesterday, so stand by for that announcement when I do my round-up tomorrow! My Fridge Raid Forever Nigella also had a lovely lot of entries with NINE suitable recipes for a good fridge raid – I DID make a recipe, but, and this is funny, I missed my own deadline, although I may just slip my entry in when I write the round-up!! I am also hosting a WONDERFUL contest on behalf of Interflora for Grandparent’s Day and if you want to bake something to win a LUXURY flower arrangement PLUS a Grandparents’ Day Gift Basket for someone you love, then take a look at the contest here: Bake a Cake for Grandparents’ Day & Win a Luxury Flower Arrangement & a Grandparents’ Day Gift Basket.
I also posted an article about another contest, and all for a GREAT cause: Win an Eric Lanlard Hamper with Silver Spoon & Macmillan Cancer Support AND My Recipe in The Little Book of Treats – on the 24th August 2012 Silver Spoon and Macmillan are launching Silver Spoons Little Local Hero Awards. They are scouring the country for local heroes under the age of 18 who have done something truly special. Your local little hero could have looked after their little sister when they were ill, gone to great lengths to make Mother’s Day very special, or done something fantastic to raise money for charity. If you know someone under 18 in your local area who you think would be a worthy winner, just follow this link and explain in less than 100 words who you are nominating, why, and what you would bake them to say thank you…….Master Pâtissier Eric Lanlard, star of Channel 4’s Baking Mad with Eric Lanlard, will choose a Silver Spoon National Little Hero and to celebrate he will bake them a special cake of their choice! 10 runners-up will also receive a Silver Spoon Baking Hamper packed full of exciting treats……….
But finally to my Patchwork Quilt of Recipes and Photos…….I have taken some of my recipes, and their photos from the last ten days or so and have made a mosaic of images…..along with the recipe links below. I am attempting to do this every Sunday, as I it’s a great way for me to unwind before the week starts again and LOVE compiling them. So, below is my patchwork quilt image, and a list of links to the appropriate recipes……have a WONDERFUL Sunday and see you soon. Karen
