Been on quite a few driving holidays, (mainly as a passenger though lol) Used to live in Germany, so been all over that area, but my fave was Austria, lovely country and views, had an amazing time.
As a family we used to spend 3 weeks each summer traveling through France. We’d stay somewhere on the coast for one week but spend the rest of the holiday driving around, stopping at places that we liked the look of, spontaneously booking “chambres d’hotes” along the way. I loved it!

I’m in love with Amsterdam! It’s such a beautiful getaway city, I go there every few months with my friends when I need to de-stress and each time I’m blown away by the breath taking views of the city. There’s also lots to do and explore
It was my favourite and certainly most memorable holiday. A family break and Dad had hired a car so we seen a-lot of the area and had road trips whilst we were there. Due to his poor navigation skills we got lost a great number of times but it did let us see the area very well and discover some fantastic places. The area was beautiful called The Vendee. Everything you could want, coast & beaches, some delightful little towns, scenery, historic sites and attractions aplenty. Area had the most gorgeous agricultural land- fields of flowers, salt marshes, waterways, windmills beaches- just so much to see as the car zipped through the beautiful countryside. A very pretty place.
