The Lake district, on the lake of Loughrigg Tarn just north of Windermere , it’s a fantastic spot for walking and picknicking. The calm tarn boasts clear blue water, which during the Summer months is adorned with colourful water lilies and the views are stunning

I love our local Country Park, can stroll along the beach for a while the sit in the woods away from the sand to eat.
At one of our lovely beaches here in Westray which is an island in Orkney because our you can often get a beach to yourself.
It would be down at our plot. We work so hard down there and it’s lovely to be able to invite a few friends over in the summer and enjoy the piece, quiet and beauty. In the five years we’ve had it, we’ve only managed it twice. Need lots of good weather …….
Our local park – walking distance so we can have a drink if we like, surrounded by hills. We only have a tiny back yard, so we pretend it’s our garden.

My favourite place to have a picnic would either be:
On the beach, curling my toes in the sand, breathing in the smell of the sea, watching the waves – preferably somewhere warm!
Or if I were to have a picnic locally, then I would have it in Richmond Park, amongst the many deer and rabbits – maybe near the Isabella Plantation.
I’d like to go back to where I spent my honeymoon in Thailand and have a picnic on a desserted beach.

On a sandy beach backed by sand dunes on a beautiful sunny day – it’s so relaxing to listen to the sound of the sea it adds to the picnic (and I always feel really hungry at the sea so enjoy it even more!).
The top of Boxhill in Surrey is where we always went for childhood picnics – you can see for miles and there are so many slopes for rolling down.
I haven’t found the perfect place yet, I would love a nice secluded little spot under a tree, preferably with a lake or stream nearby 🙂
My favourite place to picnic would be by the River Avon in Hampshire which is delightful and peaceful.

My son and his family live in Arrochar, Scotland. We have a place we go next to Loch Lomond. It’s so secluded and absolutely gorgeous. There is a small road down to it so my Grandson takes his bike….we go there quite a few times over the ‘summer’…!!!! Meaning when it’s not raining!

on the beach on a deserted island in the bahamas on kamalame Cay Andros. We got married a year ago there on the 16th of May and we were meant to have a picnic the day after but didn’t because it was raining. It is heavenly.

The Malvern Hills – its near my home and I love the views.
By a nice beach but not on it as i always get sand in my food.I know they are called sandwiches but i do like them without the sand lol .In Devon they have a field with picnic tables that over looks the ocean and it’s beautiful.
I quite like picnics in the garden or whilst fishing by a quiet lake, surrounded by trees but with a nice spot for sunbathing, I like to do old-fashioned picnics with sandwiches and rolls, bite-size snacks, crisps, fresh fruit, flask of coffee and bottles or cans of lemonade, coke and/or fruit juice or squash. I love that idyllic feeling of lazing about snacking in the sun, talking with friends and watching the wildlife – perfect summer’s day. I confess I also like solo picnics where I have everything I like to eat and drink, take a good book to read and a puzzle book or two and pass a pleasant afternoon relaxing.

There is a shipwreck beach in Zante Greece, its very secluded apart form the tourists, but this would be a amazing place for a private picnic, the water is the clearest I have ever seen and the beach is so unspoiled its truly beautiful
Definitely Whitby. Overlooking the sea. It’s where my now-husband and I had our first holiday together. Gorgeous spot too.

There are so many wonderful picnic spots, but at the moment a dream picnic location would be Central Park, New York. My daughter lives in NY now, and I would love to fly all the family over, simply so we can all picnic together. A girl can dream!!

my favorite used to be at the Elisabet Ney Museum in Austin, TX. But they have since added very tall grass and it’s not very suitable for picnics.
The Jurassic Coast – it’s somewhere I’ve been wanting to go for sometime now but never got around to it, looks really stunning.

My favourite picnic place is a large field that sits about a ten minute walk from the town centre. The thing I like most about this field is the fact that you wouldn’t know it was there if you didn’t know about it, hidden by wooded areas and houses its a lovely place of tranquility in an otherwise noisy town.

My perfect spot is to take a 10 minute walk in my lunch break to the oasis of Regents park in London.
If you follow the path it leads to a beautiful rlm tree and at 1.30 the sun is hitting the bark and the monkeys are heard laughing in London Zoo it is a true wonderful delight and something Londoners are yet to be taxed on.

The Rankle Burn which is between Selkirk & Moffat. Used to go there for Picnics as a kid in the 70’s and great memories.
My perfect picnic spot would be next to my grandparents caravan in hastings where I spent most of my childhood summers.

Along the Pembrokeshire coastal path. Caemaes Head is a good spot for a picnic looking out across the sea thinking you are the only people in the world. So peaceful.
On the bank by the stream at May Beck North Yorkshire – we would always stop off here for a picnic on our way to Whitby for family holidays and I plan to take my daughter as soon as she is old enough to run around

Somewhere quiet and secluded, there’s a place near Cornwall, you have to walk up a load of steps to get to this cliff where there are ruins of an old castle, on a summers day it would be amazing dangling your legs off the side looking down at the sea, eating a fresh Cornish pasty made in the shop at the bottom
On a nice sunny day beside a lake so I could dip my feet in the water to keep cool if it got too hot, trees nearby to shelter in case of rain.

The inner harbour car park promenade in Newhaven or the seafront in Seaford looking across Seaford Bay at whatever ships and boats may be on the water.

Windsor Great Park – It is so peaceful with such a huge variety of plants and trees from all over the world – and its the Queens back garden – where better!
My favourite place for a picnic would be in a field near me – so peaceful and pretty and yet, if I have forgotten anything, I am 2 minutes’ away from home!
Town Meadows in Stamford, Lincolnshire. Stamford is one of my favourite places in the UK. Town Meadows park is at the bottom end of Stamford and has lovely views and a river runs through one end of the park where ducks and swans wander about. Lots of young families enjoy the space and it’s just a lovely place to be on a sunny day 🙂

On top of Boxhill in surrey as i always went there as a little girl with my Nan and grandad and i have fond memories of the place and also it is like being on top of the world looking down at all the matchbox sized cars driving along the distant twisting roads x
