Mothering Sunday is only 5 weeks away now and Rosie and Rebecca of Honeywell Bakes have very kindly offered all Lavender and Lovage readers a chance to win one of their fabulous Mother’s Day Baking Kits RRP: £26:50 The kit comprises:

The kit comes in a tin with cookie cutters, biscuits ready to decorate, fondant icing, icing tubes, sprinkles, recipe and instructions. It also includes tissue paper, twine and a blank tag so that the tin can be used as a gift box to present the finished biscuits in.

About Honeywell Bakes:

Honeywell Bakes was created over the kitchen table by sisters Rebecca and Rosie. Our baking skills came from our Mum, who always had a fresh cake coming out of the Aga when we were kids.

After designing and creating dessert tables for a christening and birthday party with great success it seemed natural to turn our skills and love of baking into a business.

Both of us have been baking for family and friends since we were 8 years old! Honeywell Bakes now offers stylish iced biscuit gifts, both online and through selected retailers such as Selfridges London.

    My mum loves brandy snaps. Whenever the fair comes to town I rush down to buy some. I had a go at making some once and just succeeded in wrecking 2 baking trays! You’ve never seen such a sticky mess!

    My mums favourite treat is toffee but her dentist has told her she’s too old to be eating it now, so she’ll have to make do with these beautiful biscuits! xx

    My mum would love how beautiful these biscuits are and would say they are too pretty to eat! She would enjoy the artistry of decorating them and get joy from gifting them.

    Definitely “gooey” buns. 🙂 She always looks at the dessert menu before the starters when go out (so she can choose one or the other – depending on what she fancies).
