Easy to make sausage and bacon burgers, which are perfect for any bonfire night supper or as part of a full English breakfast. Use high quality sausages and dry cured bacon for the best results. Also great for a mid-week family meal.
Ingredients
- 6 pork sausages
- 6 slices dry cured smoked streaky bacon
- 50g dried bread crumbs
- 1 free-range egg, beaten
- flour
- Bread buns or crusty bread to serve

Directions
Step 1 | Skin the sausages and put the sausage meat into a mixing bowl. |
Step 2 | Dice the streaky bacon until very fine and add to the sausage meat along with the bread crumbs and egg. Mix well and then chill for 10 minutes. |
Step 3 | When you are ready to cook the burgers, take the mixture out of the fridge and shape into patties, you will get between 6 and 8 depending on size and thickness. |
Step 4 | Coat in a little flour and fry or grill until cooked - between 8 and 10 minutes. |
Step 5 | Serve with burger buns or crusty bread with sauces and condiments, or as part of a full English breakfast. |
