New Knorr Flavour Pots with Aroma, Herbs and Spices!

Roast Chicken Dinner with Herb and Garlic Gravy

Knorr, the number one cooking brand from Unilever UK, is making its first ever foray into Herbs and Spices with new Knorr Flavour Pots.

I was really impressed with their new range of flavour pots, which are available from February; the new flavours are Mixed Herbs, Garlic, Mixed Chillies, Three Peppercorn and Curry. They can be used in so many types of recipes, such as curries, stir-fries, casseroles, hot-pots, pies, stews, soups and as sauces for pasta dishes. The New Flavour Pots were created by Knorr chef Cameron Healy, a world-class chef who hails from New Zealand originally and who has worked all over the world including New Caledonia and Paris. I think his new Flavour Pots with herbs and spices are an ingenious idea for busy cooks who want lots of flavour in their cooking, and the dried herbs and spices add a “fresh” flavour to recipes.

For more recipe ideas take a look here and watch the video below:

Here’s how I would use the new flavour pots in my recipes:

Mixed Herbs:

MIXED HERBS FLAVOUR POT

MIXED HERBS FLAVOUR POT

A lovely blend of 4 essential herbs, this flavour pot is perfect as a base for soups and when added to sauces for pasta.

This flavour pot would be perfect as a base for one of my soups recipes, and the herbs would enhance gravy, pasta dishes as well as stews and casseroles.

Garlic:

GARLIC FLAVOUR POT

GARLIC FLAVOUR POT

An amazing flavour pot that is packed with garlic and is perfect for pasta as well as gravies and stews.

I LOVE garlic, and this flavour pot would be well used in my kitchen and I know it would make a GREAT base for some garlic gravy for a roast chicken Sunday lunch!

Mixed Chillies:

MIXED CHILLIES FLAVOUR POT

Hot stuff! This little pot is a mixture of different chillies and is essential for any Mexican inspired recipes.

Hot on the heels of the garlic flavour pot is my second favourite, and this would be perfect to add to my famous chilli as well as a spicy stir fry or a Mexican wrap.

Smoky Mexican Bean Soup

3 Peppercorn:

3 PEPPERCORN FLAVOUR POT

3 PEPPERCORN FLAVOUR POT

Three peppers combine to make a sophisticated and tasty base for sauces and gravies, as well as soups and stews.

I love peppercorns in my cooking and apart from using this as a base for spicy casseroles, I would use this for the sauce for my pepper steaks!

Pepper Steak with Pan-fried Onions, Tomatoes and Spinach

Curry:

CURRY FLAVOUR POT

CURRY FLAVOUR POT

A special blend of  13 traditional  “curry” spices that makes for an exotic and aromatic spice mix, perfect for all dishes that need curry as an essential flavour.

Another favourite flavour of mine, is curry! I can see this flavour pot with its complex combination of 13 traditional spices being an essential in my store cupboard, especially for soups as well as curries of course!

Does anyone else see “Flavoured Pot” whenever you see the label? (sorry Karen, I just couldn’t help myself)
