The Cool Cauliflower Recipe Collection:
Linky Party and Blog Hop
Regular readers of Lavender and Lovage may be aware of my love (bordering on obsession) for cauliflower! I have always loved this humble veg and think it’s a shame that it is much maligned. The obvious favourite meal is, well for me at least, Cauliflower Cheese, that delectable dish where cauliflower is baked au gratin in an unctuous, rich cheese sauce…..it’s one of my favourite all time recipes and has the means to soothe my troubled heart and soul, therefore becoming the ultimate comfort food dish of all time. But, recently I have discovered the leaner side of cauliflower, as someone who follows the 5:2 diet (on and off I admit, but I do try!), I often use cauliflower as a base and substitute for potatoes, rice, grains and even pizza bases.
So, in a bid to gather together a collection of cauliflower recipes, I asked my good friend Choclette (from Tin and Thyme formerly Chocolate Log Blog) of she would like to co-host a linky party for this much overlooked vegetable. As Chocolate is a vegetarian and is a big fan of vegetables, she was pleased to accept my challenge, and will also be hosting this cauliflower party on her blog today too. All we want from you are your CAULI recipes, they don’t have to be vegetarian, although most of mine are, but in the spirit of sharing, all recipes and recipe links are welcome, from ALL over the world. I’ll share the guidelines below, but for now I’d like to highlight some of my favourite cauliflower recipes from Lavender and Lovage to get you in the mood! Please DO join in – we want YOUR cauli recipes! Karen & Choclette
