A delicious variation on the ubiquitous avocado toast, this recipe has chillies, garlic, lime and chives added, with feta cheese.
Ingredients
- 1 x 80g avocado
- Juice of half a lime
- 1 tablespoon low-fat sour cream (or yoghurt)
- 1 garlic clove (peeled and finely minced)
- 1/8 teaspoon dried chilli flakes
- salt and pepper to taste
- 20g reduced fat feta cheese (crumbled)
- 1 x slice of toasted granary bread
- Fresh chives to serve (snipped)
- Lime wedge to serve
Note

Directions
Step 1 | Cut the avocado in half and remove the stone, set one stone to one side. Mash the avocados with the lime juice juice, sour cream, garlic, chilli flakes and salt and pepper - don't over mash it, it's nice to have a few small lumps remaining for texture. |
Step 2 | Place the toasted granary bread on a plate and spoon the smashed avocado over the toast. Scatter the crumbled feta cheese over the top then the snipped fresh chives. |
Step 3 | Serve straight away with a fresh lime wedge on the side. |
