An easy and yet very elegant way to serve fresh figs as part of a buffet or as a light lunch or starter. Use any honey of your choice, but a light floral one tastes so much better than a stronger, darker honey.
Ingredients
- 24 fresh figs
- 100g blue cheese
- lavender or floral honey
Note
An easy and yet very elegant way to serve fresh figs as part of a buffet or as a light lunch or starter. Use any honey of your choice, but a light floral one tastes so much better than a stronger, darker honey.
Directions
Step 1 | Wipe the figs and cut the woody stem of the top of them. Cut them in half, but not right through or quarters, depending on the size. |
Step 2 | Cut the cheese into small pieces and then then stuff the cut figs with the cheese, pushing it right down into the cut. |
Step 3 | Place the figs on to a serving platter or individual plates, and drizzle some of the honey over the top. |
Step 4 | Serves 4 people as a light lunch or starter, when served with bread and salad. |
Step 5 | Use any blue cheese or honey of your choice. |
