Whittard of Chelsea Blue Chintz Tea for Two Set (RRP: £50)
Earl Grey Loose Tea
One teapot; two mugs; Chatsworth tea filter basket; Earl Grey Loose Tea
The set was BEAUTIFULLY presented in a box, and was safely packed for transit. The tea set is made in England, a HUGE plus for me, and is fine bone china. The quality of the set was superb, with a nice balanced feel to the mugs and the teapot and a crisp clear pattern of blue chintz, which is a classic pattern and makes any tea time table look well dressed! I LOVED the tea filter basket that sits inside the teapot, and means that you can make PROPER tea with loose tea and not have to worry about a tea strainer that sits over a tea-cup, or in this case, a mug. The mugs are an elegant shape and are easy to hold and drink from, even my husband whose hands are bugger than mine was happy with the handle. The teapot makes enough tea for two mugs, and although we are avid tea drinkers, this was perfect for elevenses or afternoon tea; we tend to make a big Brown Betty teapot of tea first thing in the morning that makes 6 cups! The tea filter basket is easy to remove and also easy to clean. Whittard of Chelsea is known for its tea and coffee blends, and the Breakfast Earl Grey loose tea was well-blended with a distinct and yet subtle bergamot orange flavour. As you can see from my photos, this is a truly beautiful ENGLISH made tea set that I recommend to all my readers with no hesitation. I give this lovely tea set a Lavender and Lovage score of 5 out of 5 – it will make a WONDERFUL gift for any mum on mother’s day, as well as for birthdays, anniversaries or just because!

Betty’s Spring Flowers Fondant Fancies x 4 (RRP: £6:00)
I received a box of four Spring Flowers Fondant Fancies, that were well packed and they all arrived in perfect condition. These classic Fondant Fancies are hand-dipped in ivory and yellow fondant icing, individually iced with spring flowers and as you can see by my photos are just so pretty! So, how did they taste; as Betty’s cakes are freshly made every week, these cakes actually tasted “home-made” in the best possible sense. The fondant icing was silky smooth and the sponge was light and moist. Each fondant fancy was sandwiched with buttercream and jam and they were truly scrumptious! Pretty to look at, presented in a lovely box and delivered straight to your door, I think these would make a superb present for your mum on mother’s day or for Easter and a spring birthday. I give these delightful wee cakes a Lavender and Lovage score of 5 out of 5 for taste, presentation and looks.

It’s one of my wishes to get a beautiful blue and white tea set like you’ve shown. The party cakes look nice too (if a bit expensive.)

It really is a stunning tea set. Blue patterned tea sets always stand out beautifully on a table set with a crisp white table cloth.
