Autumn Recipes for All Hallow’s Eve and Bonfire Night – A selection of seasonal and traditional British recipes – both new and old.

It’s now nearly the end of October – and goodness me, how this month has flown by – it seems like only yesterday we were celebrating St Michaelmas Day.
I seem to say that every year, as we approach Christmas and all of the autumn and winter feasts and festivals, the last three months of the year seem to go by in a flash.

I have lots of new “old” vintage recipes to share with you all, but before I share them, I’d like to post a round-up of fabulous, seasonal recipes that are already on Lavender & Lovage.
This is my favourite time of the year, I love autumn with its copper and flaming red leaves, milky morning mists, fiery sunsets and the abundance of fruit and vegetables.

And as well as all the comfort food recipes that come into their own at this time of year, such as stews, casseroles, pies and dumplings, it’s the perfect time to bake for the season.
I hope you enjoy today’s Autumn Recipes for All Hallow’s Eve and Bonfire Night. I have tried to add a wide variation of baked and comfort food recipes, which will hopefully suit all levels of bakers and cooks. Enjoy! Karen
